- Biografía:
- I am an early career researcher with passion for parasitology. My earliest research was on mosquitoes during my undergraduate education. However,my M.Sc (Parasitology) thesis was the first research to document "in vivo evaluation of antiplasmodial activities of a plant" popularly used in the treatment of malaria in my locality. I had improved my skill on microscopy over the years due to my active participation in research collaborations. Because of my passion to impart knowledge in others, i started working as an Academic Researcher in a Polytechnic in 2011. In 2014/2015, i attended a three months training on PCR assay in New York (Weill Cornell Medical College) with the assistance of MalariaWorld under Professor Kirk Deitsch. There i worked on molecular biomarkers dictating antimalarial drug resistance in Plasmodium. The objective of the training was to assist me in my doctorate degree research. I successfully completed my PhD Parasitology degree in January 2018. Currently, I am a Post-Doc fellow and implementation researcher in Ghana working on malaria. I am interested in mentors that can guide me on opportunities that can improve my skill on "implementation research", "writing grant proposals/proposal development" and "data analysis". These skills will improve the quality of my research and benefit my students. I am humble, a fast learner, keenly interested to learn from the experience of others, and hope to be a Mentor in the future.
