Biografía:

I am knowledgeable in my chosen field with over 7 years of cumulative and diverse experience in various fields relating to biodiversity conservation, administration, and sustainable development. Am currently involved in the management of a pilot participatory natural resources management project and livelihood support programme for 37 forest-edge communities around Urhonigbe and Gelegele Forest Reserves in Edo State, Nigeria. The project has three-pronged strategies; Local Governance of Natural Resources Management, Livelihood Enterprise Development and Forest Conservation and Rehabilitation. Also, I have been involved in the management of a ground breaking biodiversity research. The research is historically, in that it is the first time biodiversity research in Nigeria and even in the Africa, would be adhering to the guiding principles of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) Performance Standard 6: Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Natural Resource Management Practice and The Equator Principles, in the conduct of a biodiversity research. The research was carried in line with policies and guidelines of various Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs) such as: i) International Finance Corporation (IFC) Performance Standard 6; ii) Convention on Biological Diversity; iii) The Equator Principles (EP or Principles); iv) United Nation Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC); v) IUCN Guidelines- Protected Area Management Categories; vi) RAMSAR Convention on Wetlands (Proposed Draft Country Policy); vii) Smithsonian Monitoring and Assessment of Biodiversity (MAB) methods; viii) Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES); ix) Convention on Migratory Species (CMS); x) Agreement on the Conservation of African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbirds (AEWA) and xi) Convention for Cooperation in the Protection and Development of the Marine and Coastal Environment of the West and Central African Region (Abidjan).
