Biografía:
Dr. Adejoke Elizabeth Memudu, Ph.D., is an anatomist and neuroscientist. She is the founding member and Coordinator of the Neuroscience research group in Anatomy Department Edo State University Uzairue, Edo State Nigeria. She had are academic degrees: B.Sc Anatomy from the University of Ilorin; M.Sc. Anatomy from the University of Lagos and Ph.D. Anatomy from University of Ilorin (Neuroscience). She is a member of the Neuroscience Society of Nigeria (NSN), International Society for Neurochemistry (ISN), Society of Neuroscientists of Africa (SONA), Anatomical Society of Nigeria (ASN) and Society of Experimental and Clinical Anatomist (SECAN). She has published more than 40 scientific articles and abstracts in the areas of neurobehavioral studies on Alzheimer’s disease, memory loss, neurotoxicity, translational research, methods of teaching anatomy and neuroscience, and serves as the editorial board for some journals. Her research covers areas such as energy metabolism during postnatal neurodevelopment and neurodegenerative studies; where the mechanism of neuroprotective functions of natural products or herbal plants were studied to describe their mechanism against neurodegenerative disorders such as depression, Alzheimer’s, Disease (AD), also studies on oxidative tissue damage and tissue antioxidant system.
