Intereses de colaboración:: I would like to collaborate with people doing research work on Tuberculosis both in and outside Africa particularly. I would also like to identify opportunities and training programs to improve on my Immunology research skill and be an editor one day
Biografía:: I recently graduated with a master’s program in Immunology and have an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences that involved a strong emphasis on Microbiology and it is the discipline I chose to focus on in my final semester. I have a great interest in carrying out research in the fields of both Microbiology and Immunology. In order to come to a better understanding of Immunology and compliment the foundation I had in Microbiology, I sought out an internship with the Medical Research Council (MRC) center in Uganda and later on pursued a Master’s degree in Immunology. One pathogen that I have great interest in tackling is Mycobacterium Tuberculosis. I would love to have the opportunity to be involved in work that deals with the development of new Tuberculosis (TB) diagnostics, the discovery of various TB biomarkers and looking at the interaction between Tuberculosis and Diabetes. My career goals involve taking part in any work that can enhance my skills as a researcher in the future, as well as an Immunologist in order to be prepared for the PhD that I will pursue in the near future. I would also like to take part in scientific writing and be able to contribute to work that is currently being done in the field of Immunology.
