Biografía:: PhD in Veterinary Sciences in 2000. Awarded with the BSc. Degree in Tropical Agriculture with a Specialization in Tropical Animal Production by the "Larenstein" International Agricultural College, the Netherlands (1998). Specialization in Ruminant Nutrition and Management by the Institute of Animal Science/Agricultural University of Havana (1992). Zootechnics – Animal Husbandry - Engineer by the Central University "Marta Abreu" of Las Villas (1989). Advanced Training in Agricultural Research for Development by the International Centre for development oriented Research in Agriculture (ICRA), the Netherlands (2003). More than 20 years’ teaching experience as a Lecturer of Animal Production Systems, Animal Nutrition and Feeding, Agroforestry. Supervision: ~40 Graduate level students, 5 MSc students (concluded), 2 PhD students (on-going: 1). Initiator of over 7 research/extension projects, and several national and international scientific collaborations in the field of sustainable agriculture, animal production and agroforestry. Publications: 10 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and 32 in proceedings of international scientific congress and conferences. Paper presentations in 35 national and international congresses, conferences, workshops and other scientific events. Practical farm experience in dairy and beef cattle.
