BIO OF THE HOST
Alice Rayim-Wendé NARE is the Head of the Natural Substances Department at the Institut de Recherche en Sciences Appliquées et Technologies (IRSAT) in Burkina Faso. She began her research career at the Institute of Environment and Agricultural Research, focusing on soil biology and microbiology. Her PhD explored pesticide use and its effects on soil fertility. Currently, her research includes reducing runoff in vegetable and cotton farming and remediating soil polluted by used motor oil. She has supervised Master’s and PhD students and continues to enhance her scientific expertise through various national and international research and training opportunities.
